Benfleet were inserted by Upminster and both openers went with only 18 on the board. But a brisk 55 of 50 balls by Chris Bridge supported well by firstly Rob Hunt and then Amrish Joshi saw Benfleet at 96 for 3 at one stage off just 18 overs. But on the departure of Chris Bridge the middle order collapse to 100 for 8. An important partnership of 22 between father and son Handley saw Benfleet close to 2 batting points which were secured by Jack Main's swipe for 4. Benfleet all out 126.
An early wicket by Mark Acraman gave Benfleet some hope and three wickets from Grant Handley including two in two balls gave Benfleet a bowling point but Upminster cruised to victory in 22 overs. Upminster 127 for 4
